There’s nothing like getting a little experience under your belt, especially when it comes to complying with the Affordable Care Act (ACA). But experience in this area is hard to come by. Although businesses with 50 to 100 employees had to file 1094-C and 1095-C forms in 2015, this year represents the first time they must meet ACA compliance deadlines for offering benefits or face a potential employer shared responsibility penalty. Larger organizations, meanwhile, have by now amassed only a single year’s experience with compliance. There’s a lot to learn all around.
